I want to renovate my home. What do I need to do?

email or phone and a Design Consultant will contact you to arrange a no obligation visit to your home. Our consultant can then fully advise you.
What approvals do I need?
Leave that to us. We will organise approvals with the council for planning and building licenses. We will also organise the site survey and structural engineering details and any requirements with the Water Corporation.
How long does the Council process take?
As you can appreciate, every council has differing needs procedures and work loads, however we work closesly with councils and generally planning and building approvals take approximately 12 weeks.
How long will it take to start building?
We promise to start within 30 days of council approval.
What do I need to do about Insurance?
Boutique covers all construction and public liability insurance but we advise you to contact your Insurance Company and advise them of the renovation. They can advise you on your individual policy requirements relating to your home and contents insurance.
How long does the whole process take?
Every job is different in size and complexity and is governed by different council requirements. Generally the whole
process of design, documentation, engineering, planning, building approvals and construction on site, takes on average 9 to 11 months.
Will we have to move out?
This depends on the individual requirements of each job, however, on average 20% of clients move out. Your Design Consultant can advise you in more detail. Ask about our temporary bathroom, kitchen and storage facilities, its all part of our
uVantage package.
Do we organize our own plans?
Leave it to us. Boutique has qualified Designers who will draw up your design plans in house. However if you have plans already drawn we can work with these plans also if preferred.

Can our home take a second storey?
Each home needs to be checked by our engineers but generally 95% of homes can take a framed or lightweight second storey.

Our Pre-start Consultant will help you pick all your products and colours right here in our state of art selection centre.
